RECEPTION CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION

MONDAY 19TH DECEMBER

2PM

LOWER HALL

Welcome to the Reception Page!

There are two reception classes:
Opal Class - Mrs Begum, Mandy and Nanci

Crystal Class - Miss Biddlestone and Carol

Welcome to reception. We hope that you have had a great summer holiday and are ready to do lots of fun learning!

Our topic this half term is All About Me. We want to take this opportunity to learn more about the children and for the children to learn more about each other. This is also a great starting point for children to use what they know to talk confidently with adults and peers. It would be great if you could talk to your child about their background so it aids their learning within the classroom. Children are also going to be sent home with an All About Me bag. Please ensure that your child puts 5 things that is important to them and brings it back to school the next day. We are then going to use those resources as a guide for your child to discuss why those things are important to them.

Phonics -

Please click on the link below to watch a clip on how we remember our sounds. The actions are a great reminder for children. Please feel free to practise with them.

Reading records -

Reading records will be changed every Monday and Friday. Please ensure that you are using the days in between to talk to your child about the different characters and how the story may be related to other factors in their lives. Finding a link ensures that your child is understanding what they have/you have read.

PE -

Opal Class: Every Wednesday
Crystal Class: Every Thursday
Please ensure ALL their clothes are labelled including their bag. Spare clothes should be in a separate plastic bag.

In addition, we would appreciate any donations of old dressing-up clothes and contributions to junk modelling.
