Welcome to the summer term in year 6! 

 

We have a very busy few weeks ahead of us with the sats tests coming up the week commencing 8th May, followed by our school journey trip to Cardfields on the week commencing 22nd May. The children have been working really hard to prepare for the sats and just have a short time to do now. Please encourage your child to keep revising things that have been covered in class and to ask for extra help with anything that they are still unclear on!

 

Once the sats are over, we will have more time to focus on doing some topic work again; we will be starting a new and exciting topic looking into the history of London. We hope to go on a few trips to further children's knowledge and bring their learning to life. Dates TBC.

 

 

Homework this term: Although the sats will soon be over, children must still continue to read every day and bring their reading record in. Children will continue to receive grammar and mathletics homework every week. Both of these need to be completed by Thursday.  Please speak to your child's teacher if they are unable to access a computer or tablet. Spellings and times tables will be tested on Fridays.
